Dr. Chioma Iheagwara

Division Chief of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Dr. Chioma Iheagwara (Dr. Chi) serves as Division Chief of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Medical Director of the Child and Adolescent Partial Program. She completed her undergraduate studies at University of Maryland Baltimore County and received her medical degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. She initially became familiar with Belmont as a medical student during clinical rotation. Dr. Iheagwara completed her residency training at Temple University and Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University.  She serves as volunteer faculty at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Thomas Jefferson University and CHOP. Currently. she is the President of the Regional Council of Eastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.  She is dedicated to inpatient and acute care psychiatric services. Dr. Iheagwara is an expert in mental health, child advocacy, and serves on various administrative committees to ensure quality of care delivered to patients and their families.
